MIGUEL DURAN – Producer/Writer/Director
Miguel was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. He graduated from Claremont McKenna College with a degree in Film Studies. During his time in school, Miguel co-wrote, shot, and edited the first feature film ever produced by the college, Storm of Beauty. Miguel followed that film up with two more short films that he wrote, directed, and edited. After graduating, Miguel spent time doing freelance editing and production work and also completed the short film Pa, which screened at several film festivals across the country. Miguel is an active member of NALIP, the National Association of Latino Independent Producers, where he’s participated in both the Latino Writer’s Lab and the Latino Media Market. Miguel currently resides in Torrance, CA.
VIOLETA REINA – Producer/Production Design/Makeup
Violeta is a native angelino, a Jill of all trades and master dabbler. She studied History and Spanish Literature at Claremont McKenna and Public Policy at Pepperdine University. She has been working in education for 5 years and has a passion for great narratives in all forms, from books and short stories to movies and webisodes. Violeta has been helping bring those narratives to life since college, where she worked as the make-up artist on three films and one theatrical production. After college, she continued to work with Miguel and served as his Production Designer on the short film Pa. She has an eye for detail and a range of interests which include painting, sewing and wardrobe, make-up, interior design. She is always eager to find a way and doesn’t shy away from a drill. Her range of skills and love of consignment shopping make her a perfect fit for DIY films and projects.
DATTA DAVE – Producer/Actor
Beyond acting, Datta is the founder of Tulsea Pictures and works to develop and drive the Company’s strategy and long-term vision. Prior to forming Tulsea, Datta served as Business Manager and Consultant to international filmmaker, Mr. Shekhar Kapur. Datta helped Mr. Kapur in developing a New Media Fund. Datta, formerly a management consultant, served as Head of Watson Wyatt’s Sales Strategy & Effectiveness practice in India. Datta is based in Mumbai and Los Angeles.
